A DVR (Digital Voice Recorder) does not need a tape to record because a DVR records into a Flash Memory built-in.
3. What is the advantage of recording on a DVR rather than a regular tape recorder?
One of the advantages is the fact that a DVR (Digital Voice Recorder) records in Flash Memory. Flash memory (sometimes called "flash RAM") is a type of constantly-powered nonvolatile memory that can be erased and reprogrammed in units of memory called blocks. This makes recordings virtually static-free and increases storage and erasing capabilities without diminishing sound quality.
4. How long can I record with the DVR?
With a tape recorder, you can record up to 30-45 minutes per tape, but with a DVR you can record continuously up to 8 hours or more depending which model of DVR you have without hassling for tapes every time the tape becomes full.
5. Can I connect the DVR into my computer?
Using a special software and accessories included in every DVR package, you will be able to upload ( copy ) your messages in your DVR into your PC( Personal Computer ) and viceversa. And later, listen the messages recorded from your PC.
6. Will I be able to email the messages?
Yes, you can email the messages uploaded into your PC to your colleagues, friends and family. A cool option is that you can edit the messages before emailing it to anyone.
